The 28th Annual Pirate's Cove Billfish Tournament was monumental in 2011. Our Top 2 winning boats, BiOpSea and Sea Toy are two of our own charter boats at Pirate's Cove Marina. We couldn't be more proud.
BiOpSea, taking home First Place and $297,290.00, Captain Jesse Grantizki, has been fishing these Outer Banks Atlantic waters for many years. Being a charter boat in the Pirate's Cove Marina fleet, there are very few days they don't leave the docks to go fishing. Not only did they take first place, but they took it with 20 fish!
Sea Toy, Captain Bull Tolson, our Second Place boat, is also one of our own Pirate's Cove Marina Charter Boats. They too, rarely are at the docks, fishing from the Outer Banks to Bermuda every year. Bull Tolson, a well recognized Captain, has been seen winning and placing in tournaments up and down the Eastern Seaboard for many years. Their prize winnings.. $114,024.00 and 18 fish to take 2nd.
Cacique, Captain Harvey Schiflett, of Rosehaven, MD took Third, shy of second by time, had 18 fish as well. Their prize winnings, $76,016!
