Double B in First Place at The Big Rock!
Jim Tobin, Pirate's Cove Big Game Tournament Director, and Owner of Pirate's Cove Marina has been in Morehead City all week fishing with "Double B" of Pirate's Cove Marina in The Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament! Opening up the tournament with a bang, "Double B", Captained by Kenny Sexton of Manteo, North Carolina, and Angler Travis Stephenson boated a 652.8 pound Blue Marlin putting them in First Place on the first day. "Everything I can cross is crossed," said Jim Tobin, Pirate's Cove Big Game Tournament Director, on the outcome of The Big Rock final standings. Having already fished their four out of six days in the tournament, they get to stand-by and wait and hope (pray, really) that there isn't another Blue Marlin brought to the docks weighing more than 652.8 pounds.
We wish "Double B", our hometown boat the best of luck until tomorrow night, when the winners of the 2011, 53rd Annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament are announced.
