Our Fishing Tackle Flea Market, held twice a year, brings local, regional, and even East Coast-wide people with their overstock of fishing, hunting and marine related goods to The Pavilion at Pirate's Cove Marina to sell. From rods to reels, boats to ATV's, custom lures and so much more, the Fishing Tackle Flea Market is the place to shop, or bring your own overstock of fishing and hunting related items.

Booths are $30.00, and include a 10x10 space with an 8' table and chair. Each additional booth space is $15.00.

This morning's Fishing Tackle Flea Market was PHEN-OM-ENAL!!!!!!!! Great turnout and even better deals were made all morning long! I appreciate all who sold their overstock, and all who came! We will definitely be having another Fishing Tackle Flea Market in the Spring, and again in the Fall.

Tonight is Debbie Owen's BBQ Benefit in THE PAVILION, so come on down! There is no plate charge, and donations of ANY kind will be accepted. 4:30 - 8:30 PM. See you there!

The 28th Annual Pirate's Cove Billfish Tournament was monumental in 2011. Our Top 2 winning boats, BiOpSea and Sea Toy are two of our own charter boats at Pirate's Cove Marina. We couldn't be more proud.

BiOpSea, taking home First Place and $297,290.00, Captain Jesse Grantizki, has been fishing these Outer Banks Atlantic waters for many years. Being a charter boat in the Pirate's Cove Marina fleet, there are very few days they don't leave the docks to go fishing. Not only did they take first place, but they took it with 20 fish!

Sea Toy, Captain Bull Tolson, our Second Place boat, is also one of our own Pirate's Cove Marina Charter Boats. They too, rarely are at the docks, fishing from the Outer Banks to Bermuda every year. Bull Tolson, a well recognized Captain, has been seen winning and placing in tournaments up and down the Eastern Seaboard for many years. Their prize winnings.. $114,024.00 and 18 fish to take 2nd.

Cacique, Captain Harvey Schiflett, of Rosehaven, MD took Third, shy of second by time, had 18 fish as well. Their prize winnings, $76,016!

We are very proud of our Top Three boats, as well as everyone who fished in the 2011 28th Annual Pirate's Cove Billfish Tournament. Your support, year after year, does not go unrecognized. We very much appreciate everyone's support of Pirate's Cove Big Game Tournaments, Inc.

We had a blast all week long here at Pirate's Cove and hope those of you who participated, spectated, and sponsored the tournament had just as much fun as we did! The fishing was amazing, the weather was gorgeous, and the turn out was great! We would like to thank all of our participants of the 28th Pirate's Cove Billfish Tournament. Everyone was so nice - and we would love to have all of you back next year!

All of our Sponsor's were great this year - lots of merchandise was sold, and lots of great contacts were made! Thank you so much everyone!

2011 Alice Kelly Boat Decorating Contest
Category One – Boat & Costume Both the Boat & Costumes of Entrants will be judged
Category Two – Costume Only Team costumes to be judged – boats will not be included. (For those with vessels docked at Oregon Inlet, Broad Creek, Etc.)

Donations Welcome – All Proceeds Benefit Outer Banks Cancer Support Group

Entire team does not need to be present to enter contest.
All team members must be registered for the ALICE KELLY LADIES TOURNAMENT. No substitutes.
Registration is from 3 pm – 6 pm in The Pavilion.
Judging begins at 6 pm.

Category One will be the first judging category. All teams must be on boat by 6 pm to be judged. Category Two will be judged on the lawn at The Pavilion.

Judging is based on creativity, originality, and enthusiasm.
Judging conducted by the Outer Banks Cancer Support Group. All donations benefit the Outer Banks Cancer Support Group.

2011 Small Fry Tournament

Today was an even better fishing day for our Small Fry Participants! All 18 of them came back to the docks with fish today, and we had a great time doing awards. We would like to thank all of the parents, and kids who participated this year. We hope you had as much fun as we did, and come back next year for some more family fun!

All of the kids had a great time fishing this morning, and brought lots of Bluefish, Spot, and a Black Drum to the dock for weigh-in! You can still register your kids ages 3 - 15 in the Small Fry Tournament, which continues tomorrow. Registration is from 7-9 AM, Fishing 9AM -Noon, Weigh In Noon - 1 PM. $25.00/entrant includes, lunch, t-shirt, and awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place!
